Mer'mission

Edelina aims to inspire a wave of creativity, self-confidence, and a deeper connection to our seas.

Her goal is to share mermaid magic to inspire happiness, encourage people to bravely follow their dreams, and promote body positivity. She also aims to raise awareness of ocean conservation efforts to protect the fragile underwater realm and its aquatic creatures.

Conservation

Mermaids are the bridge between land and sea. We are advocates for ocean conservation efforts. Please do your part and help recycle!
Empowering SHE -
Protecting the SEA
Some of the problems the ocean faces are single use plastics, pesticide runoffs, marine habitat destruction and over fishing.
We are living in a plastic world. It's in our soaps, our clothes, it wraps our food and holds our water, then we carry our plastic goods out with a plastic bag. In turn our seas have turned into a plastic soup, beaches filled with plastic bits and at least 700 different marine species are affected by plastic pollution. Estimates suggest that 100 thousand marine mammals are killed each year from plastic pollution. - STM

Mermaid Edelina pledged with Save The Mermaids Organization to waste less and to try not to use single use plastics. She also participated in their #stmplasticfreejuly challenge. Edelina will continue to do beach clean ups and educate young people about the impact of plastic pollution has on the health of our ocean and coastal waters.

You can be an ocean hero too

We can help with little things like practicing "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle". Try not to use single use plastics such as straws or plastic bags.

If you have circular plastic rings that hold canned drinks you should cut them to save marine mammal life. It can cause potential strangling and starvation.

If you can't avoid it, reuse the plastics as often as you can then recycle them properly.

See the ocean through the eyes of a mermaid and help protect our ocean and its inhabitants.
